What changed

On October 23, 2026, the Province of Nova Scotia updated its EOI Selection page with the number of candidates selected from the Expression of Interest (EOI) pool for two more months:

  • August 2026: 1212 candidates
  • September 2026: 946 candidates

These figures replace the "TBD" entries shown when the page was previously updated on August 17, 2026. October, November and December 2026 are still listed as "TBD".

Context from the page

The earlier 2026 monthly figures on the same page are: January 363, February 357, March 370, April 161, May 789, June 531 and July 671. The province states that selection volumes and timing may vary by month and are determined by program eligibility criteria, labour market priorities and available nomination spaces. The page also says candidates were selected primarily from healthcare occupations, skilled trades and other priority occupations aligned with current labour-market needs.

Who it affects

Candidates in Nova Scotia's EOI pool. According to the page, only candidates selected in a draw are contacted directly. Submitting an EOI does not guarantee selection, and EOIs that are not selected remain in the pool until they expire or are withdrawn.

Date

The page was last updated on October 23, 2026. ANAS CANADA detected the change on November 1, 2026.
