What it is
Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor a spouse, a common-law or conjugal partner, or a dependent child for permanent residence.
We check that both of you meet the requirements, help you build the relationship evidence and prepare the sponsor's and the applicant's forms as one package.
Parents and grandparents can apply for a super visa for long visits. The Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) is paused.
Who it's for
- You're a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and your spouse or partner lives outside Canada.
- Your spouse or partner is in Canada with you and you want to apply from inside Canada.
- You want to sponsor a dependent child.
- Your parents or grandparents want to visit for long periods on a super visa.
What you get
- A written service agreement with the scope, the fee and the timeline.
- Your own access to Lexova, the client portal we use, one of the most advanced client portals for immigration files (see how it compares): forms tailored to your case, a personalized document checklist, progress tracking and secure messages, so your file stays accurate and complete and is easy for you and your consultant to follow.
- A check of the sponsor's and the applicant's eligibility.
- A plan for your relationship evidence, and a review of everything you upload.
- The sponsorship and permanent residence forms prepared together in Lexova.
- Submission to IRCC as your declared representative, and follow-up until the decision.
- For a super visa: a check of the host's income and the medical insurance before you apply.
What it doesn't include
- Appeals to the Immigration Appeal Division. We refer these to a lawyer or an RCIC-IRB (Class L3) licensee.
- PGP applications while the program is paused.
- Government fees: sponsorship, processing and right of permanent residence fees, biometrics and medical exams.
- No guarantee: IRCC decides every application.
How it works
- Consultation
We look at your situation and confirm that this service fits before you commit to anything.
- Service agreement and file opening
You get a written agreement with the scope, the fee and the timeline. At signing you pay 50% of the fee, the file-opening fee. It covers opening your file, setting up your client portal and administrative onboarding, and it's non-refundable.
- Your Lexova client portal
You work in Lexova, the client portal we use, one of the most advanced client portals for immigration files (see how it compares). You complete forms tailored to your case, upload documents to your personalized checklist, follow your file's progress and exchange messages and documents securely. It keeps your file accurate and complete, and makes tracking and file management easy for you and your consultant.
- Preparation
Once your forms and documents are complete, we review everything and prepare the application with you. For most standard applications this usually takes about 3 business days; complex files take longer.
- Second payment
When the application is ready, we send you the invoice for the remaining 50%.
- Submission
Once it's paid, we submit your application to IRCC as your declared representative.
- Follow-up until the decision
We follow your file, answer requests for documents or information, and keep you informed until a decision is made.
Processing times are set by the government and change often. For current estimates, see IRCC's processing times page.
What to prepare
- The sponsor's proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residence.
- Your marriage certificate, or proof that you've lived together.
- Evidence of your relationship: photos, messages, travel records, joint documents.
- Passports for everyone included.
- Children's birth certificates and, if needed, custody documents.
- For a super visa: the host's invitation letter, proof of income and Canadian medical insurance.
Price and payment
| Spouse, partner or child sponsorship: principal applicant | $2,200 |
|---|---|
| Each additional family member | $500 |
| Super visa: principal applicant | $1,200 |
| Super visa: each family member | $300 |
A sponsorship is a permanent residence application, so permanent residence fees apply. A super visa is a visitor visa, so visitor visa fees apply.
- These are professional fees only. Government fees and third-party costs, such as biometrics, medical exams, translations, police certificates and courier, are separate.
- Applicable taxes are added to each invoice and shown before you pay.
- The final price can vary with the complexity of the case, urgency, prior refusals and any extra services. It's set in your written service agreement before you pay anything.

Questions
Can I sponsor my parents now?
Not through the PGP. IRCC paused it on 15 July 2026 and isn't accepting new interest forms. The super visa is open and lets parents and grandparents stay for up to 5 years at a time.
Can my partner work while we wait?
Some spouses and partners sponsored from inside Canada can get an open work permit while the application is processed. We check whether your partner qualifies.
What if the sponsorship is refused?
Many family-class refusals can be appealed to the Immigration Appeal Division. We can't appear before that tribunal, so we refer you to a lawyer or an RCIC-IRB licensee, and help you understand the refusal.
No one can guarantee an immigration outcome. Decisions are made by IRCC, ESDC, the provinces and Québec.
