1. Preamble and mutual understanding

This Booking and Service Policy (the "Policy") is a binding agreement between you, the client, and ANAS CANADA for Immigration Inc. ("ANAS CANADA", "we", "us"). By booking a consultation or any other service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out here. This Policy sets out a clear, shared understanding of the scope, limits and terms of our preliminary services.

2. Booking confirmation and verification

Before you pay, you read and e-sign a consultation agreement, as required by section 23 of the CICC Code of Professional Conduct. It sets out the scope of the consultation, the fee, our RCIC's licence number and the role of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). The agreement is available in English or French. To sign it, you upload any government-issued photo ID in the name you book under, such as a passport, driver's licence, national ID card, Canadian PR card or residence card (or a professional regulatory body photo ID); see our privacy policy for how it is protected. You receive the signed copy (PDF) by email once your payment is confirmed, with your booking reference.

A booking is confirmed only when you receive an official confirmation email from our booking system. This email contains the scheduled date and time (in your time zone and in Calgary time), the fee paid, and your Zoom link, meeting ID and passcode.

If you have paid the consultation fee but don't receive the confirmation email within a reasonable time, contact us right away at contact@anascanada.ca with proof of payment (for example, a receipt or a screenshot). We will verify the transaction and confirm the appointment within one business day. Please check your spam or junk folder before contacting us.

3. Purpose and scope of consultations

A consultation with a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is a professional, informational and strategic session. Its purpose is to provide professional advice, evaluate a candidate's eligibility for Canadian immigration programs and offer a preliminary plan.

Disclaimer: The information provided during a consultation is for informational and evaluative purposes only. It is not a substitute for a comprehensive legal opinion. A consultation does not lead to a job offer, and we don't offer or arrange job offers.

Application review: an Application Review is a 90-minute online meeting to review the client's application package before the client submits it. It involves no representation before the government: we are not declared as the client's representative, and the client submits the application themselves.

4. Duration and engagement model

The length of each consultation is fixed and is stated on the booking page. For complex cases that need an in-depth discussion, we recommend booking consecutive appointments so that every aspect of your file can be examined and addressed.

5. Means of communication and data security

Our main platform for confidential virtual meetings is Zoom. If Zoom is unavailable, we can use Google Meet. If a virtual meeting isn't feasible, a telephone meeting can be arranged at the client's expense. In the rare event that none of these methods works, we will provide a written assessment report after the client has supplied all the necessary information. In-person meetings in Calgary are possible by arrangement.

All virtual communications are handled with discretion. Clients are responsible for the security of their own connection, and we encourage the use of end-to-end encrypted communication when possible. If a consultation is disrupted by a technical problem on our side, we will promptly reschedule the appointment at no additional cost to the client.

6. Client responsibilities and conduct during the consultation

To get the most from your consultation, the client is responsible for:

  • arriving on time for the scheduled appointment;
  • providing accurate and complete information about their case;
  • being ready to ask specific questions, to make good use of the time;
  • for Application Review services, making sure all forms are completed and documents are gathered before the session.

Connection and equipment. The client joins from a device that is charged or plugged in, with a stable internet connection and a working camera and microphone, and allows Zoom to use them. We recommend testing your setup beforehand at zoom.us/test.

Setting and conduct. A consultation is a professional meeting. The client joins from a quiet, private place where they can speak freely, keeps their camera on, and behaves as they would in a professional office. Examples of disruptive or unprofessional conduct include:

  • eating a meal during the meeting;
  • lying in bed, unless for health reasons;
  • joining while driving, or from a noisy or public place;
  • repeated interruptions or background noise;
  • offensive, abusive, threatening or discriminatory language or behaviour toward the RCIC or anyone attending;
  • recording the meeting without the RCIC's consent.

If you need an accommodation, for example for health reasons, tell us before the consultation.

Who attends. Consultations are held with our RCIC, Anasse Boulbaroud. Other RCICs who work with ANAS CANADA may also attend, usually for training purposes; they are bound by the same confidentiality obligations. The client may share the Zoom link with people they want to attend with them, such as a spouse or a family member: everyone joins the same meeting, the length of the consultation stays the same, and these rules apply to everyone attending. By inviting someone, the client accepts that their information will be discussed in front of that person.

Problems on the client's side. ANAS CANADA and its RCIC are not responsible or liable if a consultation can't be held, or can't be completed, because of a problem on the client's side, including a poor or lost internet connection, technical problems with the client's device or software, noise, disturbances or interruptions, or disruptive or unprofessional conduct by the client or anyone attending with them. In that case, the RCIC may end the meeting and the consultation is treated as completed: the fee paid is forfeited, and no refund or free rescheduling is owed. When a problem can be fixed quickly, the RCIC will usually ask for it to be fixed first; the time lost counts toward the scheduled length of the consultation.

7. Rescheduling, cancellations and refunds

This section is designed to ensure a fair allocation of professional time.

  • Rescheduling: Appointments can be rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled time, using the "Manage my booking" link in the confirmation email or by emailing contact@anascanada.ca.
  • Cancellations: Cancel with the "Manage my booking" link in the confirmation email, or by email. If you cancel at least 48 hours before the appointment, the consultation fee is refunded in full.
  • Late cancellations: If you cancel less than 48 hours before the appointment, a $20 cancellation fee applies and the rest of the consultation fee is refunded.
  • No-shows: If you don't attend the consultation and haven't cancelled it, the appointment is considered complete. In this case, the consultation fee is forfeited and no refund is provided.
  • Technical problems on our side: If a technical problem on our side interrupts the consultation, we reschedule it at no cost (see section 5).
  • Problems on your side: If the consultation can't be held or completed because of a problem on your side, such as your connection, your setting or conduct during the meeting, the fee is forfeited and no refund or free rescheduling is owed (see section 6).

8. Scope of service and RCIC-Client relationship

A paid consultation is a distinct and limited service that does not create a formal RCIC-Client relationship as defined by the CICC. The consultant-client privilege and legal obligations associated with an ongoing professional relationship are not established during this preliminary service. The RCIC-Client relationship is formally established only upon the signing of a separate, legally binding service agreement. This agreement will outline the specific scope of services (for example, full representation, application preparation or ongoing advice), the fees and the terms of engagement.

9. Limitation of liability

The advice provided during a consultation is based on the information the client discloses at that time. ANAS CANADA's liability is limited to the fee paid for the consultation and does not extend to any decisions made or actions taken by the client based on this preliminary advice. The client assumes all risk of acting on information without a signed service agreement.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Policy and any dispute arising out of it are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any legal action or proceeding related to this Policy must be brought exclusively in the courts of Alberta, Canada.
