Who PEI is selecting

PEI says its pathways depend on federal immigration allocations, application volumes and provincial labour market needs. It is currently prioritizing skilled workers in higher-demand sectors such as healthcare, trades and manufacturing, and other key industries facing labour shortages. People working in the sales and service sector may not receive an invitation at this time.

PEI ranks EOIs on attributes such as language (English or French), education, skill and work experience, strategic priorities, and other factors such as a job offer in PEI or previous Canadian work experience. An EOI is not an application.
