About the BC PNP
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) nominates skilled workers and entrepreneurs for permanent residence. After nomination, you apply to IRCC, which makes the final decision.
Current streams (as of 2026-10-10)
| Category | Stream | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Skills Immigration | Skilled Worker | Open |
| Skills Immigration | Health Authority | Open |
| Skills Immigration | Express Entry BC option (enhanced nomination) | Open |
| Entrepreneur Immigration | Base | Open |
| Entrepreneur Immigration | Regional | Open |
| Entrepreneur Immigration | Strategic Projects | Open |
The Express Entry BC option leads to an enhanced nomination, which adds 600 CRS points to an eligible Express Entry profile. The other Skills Immigration options lead to base nominations.
How selection works
- Register in the BC PNP online system for the stream that fits you, following the current program guide.
- Wait for an invitation where the stream uses one. BC holds invitation rounds and publishes each one on its invitations to apply page.
- Apply if invited, within the deadline given in the invitation.
- Nomination, then IRCC. If BC approves your application, you apply to IRCC for permanent residence.
For 2026, BC has set priorities that it calls Care, Build and Innovate (announced 2026-04-23). See the BC PNP news page for how they apply to invitations. BC has said it will not launch new streams for international students.
Application fee: $1,750, from 2026-01-22. Check the current program guide before you register; a new guide was published on 2026-05-28.
The 2026 allocation
BC's nomination allocation is 6,254 for 2026 (6,214 in 2025).

How we can help
Anasse Boulbaroud, RCIC, can check whether a BC stream fits your profile, review your registration and documents, and prepare the IRCC permanent residence application after nomination. BC and IRCC make every decision, so no one can promise an invitation or an approval. Book a consultation.
