How selection works
In 2026 the NWT introduced an expression of interest (EOI) step for the Employer-Driven stream. Candidates selected in a draw are invited to apply. The final 2026 draw was held on 2026-09-25, and the territory says the next draw will take place in early 2027. Read the EOI page for the current rules.
The 2026 allocation
The NWT's allocation is 300 nominations, the same as in 2025.

How we can help
Anasse Boulbaroud, RCIC, can help NWT employers and workers prepare for the next draw and prepare the IRCC application after nomination. The NWT and IRCC make every decision, so no one can promise a nomination or an approval. Book a consultation.
