How selection works
- Expression of interest (EOI). Skilled worker candidates create an EOI profile. Manitoba runs regular EOI draws and issues Letters of Advice to Apply to selected candidates. Each draw is posted on the draws page; draw #281 was posted in October 2026.
- Employer Direct Initiative. Manitoba paused its earlier Employer Services on 2025-07-04 and replaced them with the Employer Direct Initiative from 2025-09-02. See Immigrate Manitoba for how employers take part.
- Business Investor streams follow their own process, described on the official site.
The 2026 allocation
Manitoba's nomination allocation is 8,000 for 2026: 6,239 in January and 1,761 more in August. Manitoba had issued 3,777 nominations by the end of August. In 2025 it was 6,239: 4,750 at the start of the year, raised by 1,489 in October 2025.
